Version

When a WMS provider requests a version for a patient, they may give the chart to Carol to arrange. We hope that they will have given the patient some literature/information (ACOG booklet, eg) about version in the office.

Carol will review the chart, determine if a more current scan is indicated, and schedule if needed. Carol will call the patient, review the process of version with her, be sure she understands the process and schedule the version between 36 +0 and 37 +0 weeks.

Carol will check which WMS physician is covering L&D that day and e-mail both him/her as well as the MFM attending/fellow on service. If the WMS physician does versions he/she will be responsible for the procedure. Whomever does the procedure, will formally consent the patient immediately before the procedure on L&D.
